An archaeological team has unearthed a 7,000-year-old figurine in Kuwait that bears a striking resemblance to an alien. The eerie figure was discovered at the Bahra 1 site by a joint team of Kuwaiti and Polish researchers.

The team has been excavating one of the oldest settlements on the Arabian Peninsula, inhabited from approximately 5500 to 4900 BC.

Described by the team as a "small, finely crafted head, with slanted eyes, a flat nose and an elongated skull," the clay figure is typical of the Neolithic Ubaid community. However, this is the first such find in the Gulf region, reports the Daily Star.
