A top US scholar has worked out when we could face a "catastrophic" revelation of extraterrestrial contact. It's commonly believed by many in the field that the Pentagon is concealing evidence of several UFO crashes, both in America and abroad.

They argue that absent a controlled approach to divulge this info to the public, a "catastrophic" disclosure might occur – where indisputable proof is released haphazardly. This could lead to significant upheaval, says renowned UFOlogist Dr Steven Greer, who warns it might spark societal breakdown and lead to riots, or even wars, as people grapple with a seismic shift in reality.

Matthew Szydagis, an Associate Professor of physics at the University at Albany, presented a paper estimating the odds of such a drastic disclosure. On the UAP Studies podcast, he remarked: "I decided instead of letting things continue to be vague and qualitative to actually do the math."
