A shocking incident was witnessed when tech millionaire Mike Lynch’s 184-foot yacht, called the Bayesian, sank all of a sudden while anchored off Sicily. The yacht had docked for a night of celebration when a “freak storm” suddenly hit.

Within just 16 minutes, the vessel was underwater, resulting in a tragic loss of life. Lynch, his 18-year-old daughter, his lawyer Chris Morvillo, and several others drowned as a result of this unforeseen disaster.

This incident raised eyebrows due to its peculiar timing. Lynch and his companions were aboard the yacht to celebrate his recent legal triumph. He had been found not guilty of fraud in a long-running case involving the sale of his software company, Autonomy, to Hewlett-Packard in 2011.

After years of battling accusations, a U.S. court cleared him of all charges just two months prior to the yacht sinking.

The tragedy now turns into a subject of instant speculation and intrigue. Reports from CNN reveal the yacht may carry watertight safes housing “super-encrypted hard drives.” According to reports, Lynch had also decided not to bank on cloud storages and preferred taking encrypted drives with him while sailing.
