There have been more UFO sightings in California than anywhere else in the US. The Golden State has reported 11,202 UFO sightings over the years, with over 230 in 2023 alone. While these reports have come from all over California, UFOs and unexplained phenomena are rife in one surprising national park. There is no denying that strange things are seen, but the question remains whether the unexplained is other worldly or not.

Because many of the national parks in California are some of the best dark sky parks for stargazing, it would make sense for any number of them to be a hotspot for paranormal activity or where the weirdest stuff happens in the US. However, there is only one that is thought to be on the 33rd North Parallel, just as Roswell, New Mexico is: Joshua Tree National Park.

Not only have there been multiple UFO sightings at the national park, and rumors that the trails that lead to places like Skull Rock known to have faces have been placed by aliens, but there are reports of a Yucca Man traipsing around the park. Throw in a secret alien base hidden within Joshua Tree and the amount that cannot be explained is perplexing.
