Southern Arizonans are baffled by strange lights spotted in the early morning sky on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
The first object was observed at about 5:20 a.m. in Tucson.
As seen in the University of Arizona Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences webcam, it appears to be flying to the west or northwest at a seemingly low altitude.
After the object goes out of view, another is seen descending at the extreme left of the camera’s view.
Strange sightings are not alien to Arizonans. In fact, state 48 is a hotspot for unidentified flying objects (UFO), ranking in the top six states at the National UFO Reporting Center.
“I have very seldom seen a piece of footage which seems to capture two entirely separate UFO events,” said Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator for the British Ministry of Defense. “It’s like two for the price of one. It’s an amazing piece of footage and a great catch.”
