Microsoft claimed that it achieved a major breakthrough in reliable quantum computing. With its partner company Atom Computing, Microsoft achieved a record 24 logical qubits that can detect and correct errors.

This reportedly represents the largest number of error-corrected qubits demonstrated to date across all quantum computing platforms.

Back in September, the two companies announced that they were jointly developing the world’s most powerful quantum machine, which will accelerate scientific discovery and bring them closer to solving problems once deemed impossible.
