In a significant leap forward for quantum physics and high-temperature superconductivity, a team of scientists from the University of Science and Technology of China has observed and quantitatively characterized the elusive pairing pseudogap, a phenomenon that has been a topic of intense debate for nearly two decades in the ultracold atomic community. The groundbreaking study led by Professors PAN Jianwei, YAO Xingcan, and CHEN Yu'ao, was published in Nature on February 7.
