The world's first high definition streaming video camera to be installed on the International Space Station (ISS) has been announced by David Willetts , Minister for Universities and Science at the UK Space Conference on 4 July. The project is a joint venture between Canada, Russia and the UK.
This is a great idea that's been long overdue. But will that live, streaming video feed be uncensored? Because if it truly IS uncensored, then one might expect to see some interesting things out there on occasion. I don't see why private citizens and organizations couldn't do likewise. That way we could cover lots of different angles and points of view, along with different optical wavelengths. I'm sure it would produce some worthwhile results.
